Spaces we offer
Connect Bute offers welcoming, flexible spaces in the heart of Rothesay for charities, community groups and organisations focused on wellbeing, recovery and connection. Whether you’re hosting a meeting, running a workshop, delivering a service or planning a community activity, we have a space to suit your needs.
Our venue includes three bookable rooms in a range of sizes, along with access to outdoor garden space. Each area has been designed to feel inclusive, comfortable and adaptable for different types of groups and activities.
Each room booking includes access to the communal kitchen and dining area, Kingarth. It is set up for preparing drinks and snacks, with complimentary tea and coffee. You'll also find toilets in this area.

Scalpsie
A large, bright and flexible space, ideal for meetings, events, presentations, group activities and movement-based sessions.
Best for:
Meetings, community events, presentations, workshops, group activities and exercise classes.
Capacity:
6 rows of 6 chairs for up
to 36 people
4 large tables with 6 chairs each for up to 24 people
Exercise mat setup for up to 15 people
Cost:
Free to book for organisations with charitable status.
All other bookings: £7 per hour.
Kilchatten
A spacious, modern space that works well for meetings, workshops and seated group activities.
Best for:
Team meetings, small workshops, planning sessions, training and seated activities.
Capacity:
The large table seats 8 people, with comfortable additional seating for up to 6 more people.
Cost:
Free to book for organisations with charitable status.
All other bookings: £5 per hour.
Rhubodach
A small, private meeting space, perfect for one-to-one conversations, appointments and quiet discussions.
Best for:
Private appointments, small meetings, consultations and confidential conversations.
Capacity:
Suitable for 2–3 people.
Cost:
Free to book for organisations with charitable status.
All other bookings: £1.50 per hour.
Our gardens
Our garden is a developing community project, somewhere to slow down, look around and notice what's there.
Herbs and edible plants are being grown here by and for the community, with seeds to take away and grow at home.
When the weather's right, it's also a welcoming space for nature-based wellbeing sessions and quiet reflection.
